Otherwise untoned man's bulging calves impossible not to ogle

Pop culture often gives the impression that if men want to get attention from adoring eyes, they need to gain bulky arms and a defined six-pack through countless hours in the gym and fistfuls of protein powder.

In reality, even those who picture their dream guy having those characteristics are brought to their knees by men like Todd Halbech — men who are completely untoned with the major exception of thick, strong calf muscles.

By almost all accounts, Halbech is an overwhelmingly ordinary fella. He's 42 years old, has only lived in his hometown (excluding a four-year stint at an in-state university), works in accounting, and only goes out every month or two with friends from high school.

The exception? The bulging slabs adjoined to the bottom half of Halbech's legs. Especially when viewed in the context of his otherwise slightly pudgy body.

"I've known Todd since we were kids, but he wasn't exactly eye-catching, to be honest with you," acknowledged former classmate and current local insurance agent Dede Oltman. "But I saw him at the grocery store in his usual old t-shirt and long athletic shorts and, for whatever reason, something possessed me to look down."

The married mother of three had no idea what the quick glance would do to her.

"Gosh! Those meaty little water balloons could just pop! Of course I had to stare while he picked his ice cream from the freezer section — took his sweet time, too," recalls Oltman, clear as day.

Halbech is not particularly active, having made no conscious effort to exercise in nearly 20 years. Instead, he seemingly attained his physique by swimming and playing tennis in high school, working as a mover for a few summers, and occasionally playing volleyball in local summer bar leagues. Aside from this, the bachelor spends his days sitting at a desk or on the couch with a bag of Ruffles.

The Sam's Club member is adept at keeping up this routine, meaning his stature will likely hold for years to come. The only barrier between him and finding lifelong love? Switching up his haircut for the first time since he was 12.
